William Paul Korir

1956 – 2022

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of William Paul Korir, formerly of Egerton University, which occurred on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, after a short illness.

Son of the late Johanna Chelule Tuimising (Manywele) and the late Rosa Cherop Tuimising.

He was also a son of the late Paulina Tuimising and the late Esther Njeri Tuimising.

Loving husband to Annah Chelang’at Korir. Loving father to Nelly (Bomet County), Caroline (Faulu Bank), Patrick Lang’at (Nation Media Group), Kenneth (Nairobi), Enock (Nakuru) and Brenda Chepkirui (Nakuru Girls High School).

Father-in-law to Joel and Mercy. Grandfather to Leila,Ashley, Gian, Rian, and Melissa. Brother to Raeli, Elizabeth, Juliana, the late Joseph,Wilfred, Esther, Samwel, Christine, late David, Joel, Mohamed, Alphine, Richard, Simion, Kerio, Joseah, Hellen and the late Chelang’at.

Brother-in-law to Byomdo, Birir, the late Chelule, the late Anna, Mercy, the late Mercy, Beatrice, Kosgei, Rachel, Birir, Lucy, Florence, Kones, Nancy, Joan, Sophie, Hellen, Mutai.

Son-in-law to the late Kiprugutt Sang and Paulina Sang of Sigor, Bomet and brother-in-law to Zeddy Koech, the late Bornes Sigei, the late John, Joseph,Alice Lang’at, Caroline Kirui, Mike Rugutt (USA),Alfred, Simon, and Nathan.

The cortege will leave War Memorial Funeral Home, Nakuru on Friday, March 1 1 at 3PM ahead of the burial on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Ingobor Village, Nakuru Town West Constituency, off Technology Farm on the Nakuru-Njoro Highway.

A funds drive to offset funeral expenses will be held today Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at his Ingobor home.
