Zephaniah Maithima lbaya

It is with profound sadness and immense disbelief that we announce the untimely passing on of Zephaniah Maithima lbaya which occurred on the 27th July, 2022 after a tragic road accident at Nithi Bridge. He was a Principal Quality Inspection officer at The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) based at the Coast Region, Mombasa.

Son of the late Kamaita lbaya and Susan Kamathi. Brother to Lawrence, Nkatha, Meeme, Geofrey, Kaimuri, Kathurima and Muriungi. Loving husband to Christine Gatumwa (Kianjai Girls) who together were blessed with two children Bill Koome Maithima and Shanice Wema Maithima.

Son-in-law to Justus Ntarangwi and Jane Ntharma. Brother-in-law to Kathure, Joram,Ann, Mwenda, Karambu, Mercy, Kathambi, jane,Veronica, Philip and Phylis. Zephaniah was humble, generous and a friend to many.

Friends, family and relatives are meeting at his residence at Kunene near Meru University and at Irotia village Meru County.

The cortege will leave Meru Funeral Home on 4th August, 2022 for memorial service at M.C.K Kunene Methodist Church at 11:00am. Burial will take place the same day at his home in Kunene. Meru County.
