Hannah Wangechi Karanja
It is with great sadness, and with humble acceptance of God’s will,that we announce the death of Mrs. Hannah Wangechi Karanja, of Nyahururu Upper Co-Site, which occurred in Nairobi on 5th May, 2022 after a short illness bravely borne.
Beloved wife of James Karanja Mwaniki. Mother to Dennis & Teresa Mwaniki, Eric Mbatia and Jackline Karanja. Dotting Grandmother to Elsieann & Esther Mwaniki and Gabriella Mbatia.
Daughter of the late Dedan Mbatia Muruka and late Jane Gituto Mbatia. Daughter in-law to the late Irungu Mwaniki and the late Hannahriketta Nyawira. Sister to Esther Muriithi, Susan Njenga, Peter Muruka, James Njoroge, Alice Mutua and Margaret Kariuki. Sister in-law to Simon Mwangi, Francis Kamau, the late Herman Wangenye, Joel Kanyi, Andrew Njagi, Mary Wanjiru, Bernadette Njeri & Gabriel Macharia.Auntie, cousin, teacher, friend and mentor to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Nyahururu Upper Co-Site, from 5.00pm and virtually.
The Cortege leaves St. Benedict Hospital Mortuary – Nyahururu Road on Friday 13th May 2022, for a Funeral requiem mass to be held at Mary Immaculate Cathedral Church, Nyahururu from 9.00am. Thereafter she will be laid to rest at her family farm Mbuyu, Equator off Nyahururu – Nyeri Road.
