Phoebe Alice Owino

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Mum, Phoebe Alice Owino, that occurred on 23rd September, 2022. She hailed from Nyamninia in Gem, Siaya County.

Daughter of Anyango Ligaye and Paulina Nerea Ajuang’ (both deceased). Wife of John Owino Ong’anyo (the late). Sister of Apeles, Julia, Joyce and John (all deceased).

Mother of Margaret Onyango, George Metho (the late), Ben Otieno (the late), Willis Odhiambo (the late), Jennifer Andal, Pamela Otieno, Fanuel Onyango, Emily Ogol, Nicholas Owiti, and Anthony Adede.

Mother-in-law of Dismas (the late), Monica, Christine, Peter (the late), Joash, Emily, Richard, Joice, and Esther. She leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

The cortege will leave Sagam Community Hospital on 7th October, 2022 for a church service at Wagai CCA. The burial will take place at her home in Wagai, Ondisore, on Saturday, 8th October, 2022.
