Son of the late Abraham Mukhebi Kandawala of Bamwaya clan and the late Mama Priscah Namwenya Kayoka of Basonge clan in Namawanga village. Husband of Janice Naliaka Wekesa and the late Lorna Musamali. Brother of the late Juliana, the late Ndinyo, the late Barasa, the late Sofia, Francis, Catherine, Scholastica, Charles the late Albert, Brigit, Nicholas, Calistus, Beatrice, Emily, Janerose, Teresa, Elias and Phyllis. Nephew of Fridah Nasimiyu.

Father of the late Rose Nambuye, Phyllis Mukhebi (Senior Chief Mwangeka), Ignatius Khalibwayi (Ministry of Interior & Coordination), Carolyne Nangami (St Mary’s Anding’o), Michelle Nakubilia (Kibabii), Caparate Khaoma (Moi University), Ambrose Situma (Lugulu Day Secondary School), Eroll Mwichabe (American Leprosy Missions), Hilda Murunga (Windle trust International), Euginia Makinia (Hitachi Centre for Exploratory Research JAPAN), Javan Musame (CITAM) Rael Mukhaye (Kenya Red Cross), Jacinta Nakami (EABL), Scaver Wangasa (KU) and Maurice Kanga (KU).

Uncle of the Ndinyo’s, Wabende’s, Wanjala’s, Situma’s (Emmanuel Situma-Speaker Bungoma County), Lusweti’s among others. Brother in-law of Joseph Wanjala.

The cortege leaves Life care Funeral Home on 7th November 2019 for Namawanga Village, Bokoli Ward, Bungoma County. Funeral service and burial will be held on Saturday, 9th November 2019, at his home Namawanga village, Bungoma County.
