Agnes Moraa Makambi

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mrs Agnes Moraa Makambi in Georgia, USA/ Kiango village Kisii county which occurred on Wednesday 5th October 2022 at Kennestone hospital in Georgia, USA after a long illness bravely borne.

Daughter to the late Sylvanus Matoke Oguta and late Sarah Kerubo Matoke of Nyangoso village Kisii County. She was wife to Evanson Makambi Mukua.

She was the beloved mother to Euphemia Nyambeki Gitau (USA), Obadiah Makambi, Obed Makambi (USA), Elvis Makambi, Darivine Makambi (KRA) & Timna Makambi (USA).

Sister to Daniel Matoke, late Truphena and Nyambeki, Rachel Matoke (USA), John Matoke, Jane Njagi (Advocates), Kephas Matoke, David Matoke, Kaunda Matoke (USA), Dorcas Matoke Nyakundi (KRA).

Daughter-in-law to the late Obadiah Mokua & Jerusa Kwamboka. Sister-in-law to Bonyinyo, Moraa, Claire, Njagi,Tracy Howard (USA), Wilson Nyakundi (Elder Kilimani Springs SDA Church), Esther Onyoni (USA), late Samuel Nyaribo, Robert Ainga & Olpha.

Mother-in-law to George Gitau (USA), Emily Jamwaka (USA), Carrie Makambi (USA), Sibia Momanyi and James Arisi (KRA).

She was Auntie to Martin, Eddy, Carol,Tom, Judy, Kepha, Ogega, Benson, Edger, Angela, Cedric, Andy Titas, Silvia, Adolf, Robin, Nina, Candida, Allan Nyakundi, Brian, Lumumba, Fanny, Pamella, Allan Nyaribo, Susan, Ondari & among others. She was grandmother to several grandchildren. And one great-grandchild.

There will be a fundraising at Professional Centre – Nairobi on Wednesday 26th October, 2022 from 5.00pm.

The cortege will arrive in Nairobi on 28th October 2022 and she will be laid to rest on Monday 31st October 2022 at Bokimonge Sub-location, Kiango Location, Kisii County.

2nd Timothy 4:7 — “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. NOW there is in store for me the crown of righteousness to be awarded to me by the Lord on that day.”
