It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved
father and grandfather, Mzee Alfred Amuko Otanga, which occurred on 10th January 2017.
Son of the late Nathaniel Otanga and Mama Esther Otanga.
Beloved husband to Beverly Muhonja Otanga. Father to Clara Juma of ICEA Lion, Clarice
Sesi of Stanbic Bank, Shem Otanga of Anjarwalla and Khanna and Paul Otanga of USIU.
Father in-law to Jackson Juma and Paul Sesi. Grandfather to Jeremy, Nathan, Robert,
Bethuel, Kelithi, Eveni and Venieli
He was a brother to Anna, the late Mary, the late Flora, Theresa, Robert, David, Rebecca
and Joyce
Brother in law to Emmy and James Othoro, Ruth Kisala, Shem Videdi, the Late Evans
Kisala, Violet Otanga, Judith Otanga among others.
Uncle to Lodenyo, Allan, Evans, Sheila, Eugene, Asnette, Victor Otanga, Dr. Carol
Onyango, Rev. Jacqueline Othoro, Anna Othoro, Dr. Don Othoro, Steven Othoro, Patrick
Shivairo among others.
Friends and family will be meeting at the All Saints Cathedral Church on Tuesday 17th of
January 2017 for a fundraising towards hospital and funeral expenses. Funeral service will
be on Wednesday 18th of January 2017 at Buruburu Church of God at 3 pm. The body
departs on Thursday 19th of January 2017 for Itabalia village, Vihiga County. The funeral
service will start at 10am on Saturday 21st January 2017 at Itabalia Primary School, burial
thereafter at the family home.
