It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfred Otieno Ogutu formerly of National Intelligence Service (NIS) which occurred on 19/02/2020 at Kenyatta National Hospital.

Husband of Rose Wambui Otieno and father of Dolan Ogutu (Baringo High School) and Nigel Ogaye (Benedicta Academy, Utawala). Son of Vitalis Ogutu Oduol and the late Josephine Ogaye (Nyar Ondeng’) of West Alego Kabura Uhuyi. Step son of Mama Petronila Ogutu. Brother of Lilian Magolo, Veronica Osodo, Teresa Atieno, Emily Otieno, Syprose Kawaia and Viona Otieno. Step brother of William,Victor, Fred, Francis, Leah, Peter, Erick, Erica and the late Oliver. Brother-in-law of the late Dr. Walter Magolo, Henry Osodo, Joseph Otieno, Derick Kawala, Wilson Otieno, Maina, Ndegwa, Waweru, Muthoni, Wanjira, Juma and Martin. Uncle of Maureen Magolo, Robert, Mike, Erick, Ricky, Jack, Felix, Ephraim, Innocent, Liz, Mercy, Steve, Boss, Maureen, Dani, Philister, Seline among others. Cousin of Andrew Waingwala, Evaline, Jane, Pauline, Helida, Flowrence, Phelister Oloo, Claris George Ngira, the Osoos, the Ondeng’s, the Oketchs, the Mutulas among others.

There will be a HaraMbee on Monday, 2/03/2020 from 5.00pm at Garden Square Restaurant, Nairobi. Family and Friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his Utawala Home.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University funeral home on 5/03/2020 at 9.00am for funeral service and overnight stay at his Utawala Residence in Nairobi. On Friday 6/03/2020, the body leaves Utawala at 5.00 am for burial on 07/03/2020 at his home in Ratado village, Sifuyo East sub-location, Ugenya West location in Ugenya, Siaya County.
