Alphaeus Maina Atuya

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the death of Mr. Alphaeus Maina Atuya after a short illness bravely borne.

He was beloved son to the late mzee Atuya Okeri Nyaega and the late Dorica Kemunto & the late Penina Nyanchoka. Husband to Hellen Nyanchama Maina. Father to Edna Bosibori, Sammy Onyancha, Emma Kerubo, Stanley Gisore & Esther Kemunto. Father-in-law to Lenard Kiriama, Lucy Wanjiru, Tobias Nyarandi & Racheal Wanjekeche. Brother to the late Robinson Nyaega, the late Eunice Nyabairo & Mokua, Sarah Bosibori & the late Ombese, the late Thomas Momanyi & Mary, the late Charles Mose & Anne, Anderson Obare & the late Rose, the late Martha Bochaberi & Ondigi, Elizabeth Nyamoita & Ateya, Victorson Arasa & Monica, David Nduko & Felister, the late Japheth Ombeo & Hellen and James Nyangau & Lucy.

Brother in-law to the late Bitengo, the late Zablon, Priscilla, Marcella, Keoye, Ogero, Onkundi, the late Kerubo, Carren and Milkah. Korera to Jacob Kiriama, the late Salome Wanjiru, the late John Nyarandi & Julius Wanjekeche. Sokoro to Arnold, Dave, Rachel, eff, Bianca, Sophie, Melvin, Morgan & Shantelle Omoigwa to Marita Nyambane & Nyabinge Nyambane He was uncle to Geoffrey Arasa, Naftali Aera, Gilbert Nyaega, Steve Nyaega, Mogeni Obare, David Nyaega and Abel Masune among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Nyangena home, Kisii. There will be prayers held at Umash Funeral home on Wednesday 14th October 2020 at 7.00a.m. and thereafter the cortege leaves for Nyangena, Kisii, where he will be laid to rest on Thursday 15th October 2020.
