Annah Sote Kiplagat, sister of former President Daniel Moi, dies at 95

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our matriarch Annah Sote Kiplagat that occurred on 23/12/2020.

Beloved wife to the late Job Kiplagat Solit and co-wife to the late Rebecca Tapkigen.

Daughter to the late Kimoi Chepkeitany and the late Targok Kimoi.

Sister of the late Sote Kapkermeni, the late Sote Chepkok, the late Sote Kaptegeswa, the late Rebecca Sote Chelimo, the late Chebii Kimoi, the late Tuitoek Kimoi, the late H.E. Daniel Toroitich Moi and cousin to Mr. Jackson K. Ng’eny (Ainabkoi) among others.

Lagat (Nakuru), Grace Kabon Rono (Lebolos), Phillemon Solit (Rongai), Raymond Lagat (Nakuru), Sammy Lagat (Nakuru), Kennedy Lagat (Sabatia), Selina Lagat (Eldama-Ravine), the late Sylvia Soi (Eldoret), Josephine Bett (Moiben), Simon Lagat (Nairobi), Fred Kimutai (Molo), James Lagat (Nakuru), Maureen Korir (Nairobi) and Wesley Lagat (Njoro).

Mother-in-law to: the late Naftali Kiptoo, the late Wilfred Yator, the late Rev. Joseph Kiplagat, Mrs. Jane J. Lagat, Mr. Moses Changwony, Mrs.Anne Solit, Mrs. Mary Lagat, Mrs. Rael Lagat, Mrs. Christine Lagat, Mr. Samuel Soi, Mr.Amos Bea, Mrs. Esther Lagat, Mrs. Christine Kimutai, Mrs. Prisca Lagat, Mr. Ian Korir and Mrs. Emmy Lagat.

Her wonderful legacy continues with her 78 grandchildren and 74 great grandchildren. She was a loving aunt and friend to many.

The burial will take place on Saturday, 2nd January 2021 at her Home in Sabatia Lebolos, Eldama Ravine Constituency, Baringo County.
