Anthony Gikonyo Murigu (Mteja)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anthony Gikonyo Murigu (Mteja), after long illness bravely borne. He was working in the Office of DCC -Wamagana. Born in Gichira Village, Aguthi, Tetu, Nyeri County.

Loving son of the late James Murigu Ndoria and Sophia Wacera Ndoria.

Husband to Elizabeth Waithira. Father to Sophia Wachera Gikonyo.

Brother to late Elizabeth Waberajohn Ndoria and Eva Muthoni (Dallas Texas).

Son-in-law to late Mwangi Kimotoro and Esther Wakiina from Embu. Brother-in-law to Mainah Kaigi (Dallas Texas), Hellen, James, Murugi and Wanjiku.

Uncle to Joan Kui (Oxford UK), Dan Murigu, Alvin Maina and Robin Maina (all from Dallas Texas), Muriithi Ndoria (Nairobi) and many others.

Grandfather to Yara Audine Waithira.

Family and friends are meeting daily at their- home in Gichira Village, near Kagumo Teachers College and Wamagana, from 4.00pm for prayers and burial preparations.

The cortege leaves Mathari Mission Hospital Mortuary on Friday 20th January, 2023 at 8:00am. Funeral service will be held by the graveside at 10.00am, followed by burial ceremony at the same place.
