Atanasio Njue Njeru (Nthumbi)

The Nthumbi family, with humble acceptance of God’s will, announces the death of our beloved son, Atanasio Njue Njeru/Nthumbi (International Fund for Agricultural Development, Rome, Italy) of Kamurugu Village, Mbeere South Constituency, Embu County, which occurred on Tuesday 9th April 2019 after a tragic road accident along Garissa Road.
Beloved husband of Dr. Anna Wairimu Mwangi-Njue (KENGEN). Father of Ngivavey Njue. Son of Josphat Nthumbi and Niceta Mundigi. Son-in-law of the late John Mwangi Nduati and Mary Wambui Mwangi. His siblings are: Regina Camu, Nemesio Kithaka (C.S.0 Kiambeere Education Zone), Sr. Mary Muthoni of Consolata Missionary Sisters, Jane Mbuya, Flora Karigi, Consolata Nginya, Charity Wawira and Cecilia Njuthe. He has 42 nephews/nieces and 8 grandchildren.
Meetings for prayers and burial arrangements are going on at his Kamurugu home from 3 to 6 p.m. and in Nairobi at Norwich Union House Room 3, 7th Floor from 6 p.m.
The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home on Wednesday 17th April 2019 at 9.00 a.m for a requiem Mass at Kamurugu Catholic Prayer House. Burial will be thereafter at his home in Kamurugu.
God has plucked the most beautiful and pleasing flower in His garden; may Njue take rest at God’s table forever and ever Amen. We will always love you.
Dear friends and family of Atanasio, my sincere condolences. I met Atanasio two time, he asked me whether I knew work opportunities for his wife. He was the kindest man I feel deep respect for him. I wish you strength with this enormous loss.
