It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of Ms. Barbara Aoko Mkok wife to Jacob Rajula Ochanda following complications after child delivery at Kenyatta National Hospital on 19th June,2025.
Barbara was the daughter of Shadrack Otieno Mkok and the late Judith Atieno Mkok, as well as daughter-in-law of Mr. Moses Latimo Ochanda and Mrs. Linda Ochanda.
Mother of Lindiwe Kwe Mkok (Somalia), Bethwel Arnold Mkok, Rose Osiyo Mkok, Jesse Michael Mkok (Canada) and Christine Aloo Mkok (United Kingdom).
and Arnold Ochanda.
Aunt of Adeshina, Jeremy, Adeola, Ella Amanda Adesire, Chela Arianna, Clive
Andrew, Shadrack, Judith Angelina, Leila and Jesse Michael.
Barbara is survived by many Uncles and Aunts including the late Augustina, Henry, Peter, Ben, Margret, Cloy, and Kisa. Cousin of Billy, Christine, Mitchelle, Nelson, Edward and many others.
A fundraising meeting will be held at the All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday, 1st July 2025. Your presence and support will be greatly appreciated.
A memorial service will be held at Karura Community Chapel on Thursday, 3rd July 2025 starting 11.00 a.m.
The Burial Service will be held on Friday, 4th July 2025 at ACK St.Matthew’s, Simeru in Rangala Sublocation, Central Ugenya, Ugunja, Siaya County
Simeru starting at 2.00pm. Thereafter she will be laid to rest on Saturday, 5th July 2025 at Gondho Village, Simeru..
