It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on and transition thereof to higher glory of mum, grandmother and great-great grandmother Beatrice Wangari Gakungu (Nyina wa Muraguri) on 18.10.2020.

Wife of the late Gakungu Muraguri and co-wife of the late Susan Waiyego Gakungu. Daughter of late Muthoni and Mbagi Kirubi. Sister of Kirubi, Gathura, Kuria Mbagi,Wanjiru and Waruguru Kiiru (all late). Mother of Esther Wanjiku Njukia, Michael M. Gakungu Central Highlands Teas (Formerly-Gm-KariranaTea Estate), Simon Gathogo Gakungu, James Kirubi Gakungu (Elburgon), Nancy Muthoni Kihara, Alice Nyambura Ndugi, Jane Wanjiru Muraguri (U.S.A), Daniel Wanjie Gakungu, Charles Kariuki Gakungu (Walker Kontos/Director Gatunguru Tea Factory), Johnson Thuo Gakungu (Karaha) Mary Wanjiku Gakungu, Peter Mwai Gakungu (Fair Deal-Animal Feeds Ruai), Robert Macharia Gakungu (Fair Deal Animal Feeds-Ruai) and Lawrence Gachanja Gakungu. Grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother of many.

Prayers and funeral arrangements meetings are being held at Nairobi Silvermine Hall along Accra Rd., James Kirubi’s home in Elburgon and her home in Kihoya, Kagema from 4.00pm daily.

Cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home-Kabati on Saturday 24.10.2020 at 7.30 a.m and thereafter for a burial service in Muranga County, Kangema Sub-county, Rwathia, Kihoya village starting at 11.00a.m.

Mum, grandmother and great great grandmother go thee well and rest with the angels. We also thank God for the 102 years you were with us.
