Beatrice Wanyara Kihu

We celebrate the remarkable life of our beloved Beatrice Wanyara Kihu; a dedicated wife, loving parent, inspiring counsellor, storyteller and peace maker of great wisdom, who has transitioned to glory.

Wife of the late Patrick Kihu Machira. Daughter of the late freedom fighter Harrison Weru Mithamo and the late Tabitha Mumbi Gachara. Sister of the late Joseph Mithamo, the late Willie Wachira, Zaweria Wambui Kimani (Gwa Kanyua), Mathew Kibata, Lydia Konyu (Mahinga, Kinangop) and Judy Karoki. Sister-in-law of Scolastica Mary Wamuyu Mwangi (Ngamwa, Mukurwe-ini).

Mother of Lucy and James Karingithi, Wanjiru and Zacharia Machira, Anne and Kihu Irimu, Alice and Charles Magondu, Caroline and Julius Waithaka; Margaret and Onesmus Munyiri, the late Stephen Mithamo, Ruth and Peter Miano, Purity and Willie Wachira (Giakaibei), Elizabeth and John Maina, Kezia and Robert Kibata, Sophia and Edward Njogu, Marion and Naftali Muchiri.

Younger mother of Anne and Mathenge Muthuita, Naomi and Shadrack Machira, Anastasia and Francis Muroki, Margaret Watetu, Pastor Charity Gathigia and Wambua. Doting Grandmother of 32 and great grandmother of 12 children.

Service and burial will be held at 9.30am, Tuesday September 25, 2018 at her Kamugoiri Farm, Giakaibei, Magutu Ward near Giakaibei Catholic Mission. Branch off from Nyeri – Karatina road towards Karatina University. Pass Kiamwangi, then Ihwagi shops, turn right at the sign-board of Full Gospel Church, Giakaibei and follow the road marks to the burial site 1km ahead.
