It is with profound shock and humble acceptance that we announce the death of Benjamin Kamunya Karuru after a long illness bravely borne, on Saturday 22nd May 2021.

Son of the late Benjamin Karuru Ribiru and the late Jane Wangari Karuru of Gathuthi, Tetu Division, Nyeri County. Husband to Susan Njeri Kamunya. Father to Benjamin Karuru Kamunya, Stephen Ndei Kamunya and Arthur Wachira Kamunya.

Brother to the late Arthur Wachira Karuru, Beatrice Wanjiku Mwangi and the late John Mwangi Kagema, Benjamin Wamahiu Karuru and Sheila Parvyn Wamahiu, Caroline Wanjiku Reed and the late James Reed. Brother-in-law to the late Mary Wanja Kariuki, the late Emily Wairimu Waruinge, Wachuka Kibue, Kibue Ndei, the late Anthony Karago Ndei and Nduta Kibue. Cousin and uncle to many.

Family and friends are gathering for prayers at the family home in Plainsview, Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday 27th May 2021 at 7.00 am. The funeral Service will be held at their home, in Kahuro Gathuthi, Thegenge Location, Tetu, Nyeri County at 11.00am.
