Benjamin Mwatha Waithaka

It is with great sorrow that we announce the demise of Mr. Benjamin Mwatha Waithaka on 23rd February 2019 (Retired inspector, Weights and Measures Dept Ministry of Trade and Industry).

Son of the late Elizabeth Wangui Mwatha. Loving husband of Jane Wakiuru (Nairobi City County, Lands Dept). Father to Mr. Edwin Waithaka (US), Dr. Caroline Wangui (KCMC, TZ), Mr. Kennedy Macharia (KU) and Mr. Robert Nderitu (JKUAT). Father in Law to Quincy Mortimer (US) and Dr. Job Ongubo Okemwa (Ministry of Health, Turkana County). Grandfather to Louise and Luke. Son in Law to Esther Waceke and the Late Kenneth Muthua. Brother to: King’ori, Murugi, Githinji, Nderitu and Ngatia. Nephew, cousins and uncle to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at his home; Umoja Innercore, Rosslyn court, Hse no. B85 daily for prayers at 6pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University at 7 am on Tuesday 5th March 2019.There will be a church service at Karinga-ini Catholic Church at 10:30am followed by burial at Karinga-ini – village, Mukaro location, Nyeri Town constituency.
