Bishop Emeritus Samuel Mwatha Kang’ethe

Son of the late Henry Kang’ethe Mwatha and the late Peninah Wanja Kang’ethe. Loving and caring husband to Mary Wangui Mwatha. Father to Henry & Terry Kang’ethe, Peninah Wanja, Emma Wanjiku and Elijah Kamau. Grandfather to Samuel Mwatha Kang’ethe and Mary Wangui Kang’ethe amongst many others. Brother to Edward Gichango Kang’ethe, the late Simon Kinuthia Kang’ethe, the late Fredrick Ng’ang’a Kang’ethe, Mary Kadenge, Rev. Josephine Kitonga, the late John Kimani Kang’ethe and Jane Wanjiku Ngunjiri.

Brother in law to Mary Njeri Gichango, Mary Wanjiru Kinuthia, Martha Wangari Ng’ang’a, Joe Kadenge, Arch Bishop Arthur Kitonga and John Ngunjiri Ngunyi. Uncle to David Kang’ethe, Moses Kanja, Henry Kang’ethe, Rogers Kadenge, Vicky Kitonga, Kang’ethe Gichango, Moses Kitonga, Rev. John Bankosky Kitonga, Susan Kadenge, Ruth Gichango, Mwatha Kinuthia, Mwatha Gichango, Murugi Gichango, Wanja Irungu, Njambi Wachira, Wanja Kimandi, Ngunyi Ngunjiri, Sammy Kitonga, Washington Ng’ang’a, Millicent Ng’ang’a, Jaqueline Ng’ang’a, Chris Ng’ang’a, the late Robert Gichango, the late Dorcas Gichango and the late Eva Kadenge.

A Memorial service to celebrate his life and service in the Lord’s vineyard shall be held on Wednesday 13th March, 2019 at Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College, off Garden Estate at 10.00am.

The funeral service will be held on 14th March, 2019 at Ndung’u Stadium, Kibereke, Ng’araria Location, Kandara Sub-county, Murang’a County. Thereafter the body will be laid to rest at his home in Kaburugi, Naaro village.

Family and friends are meeting daily at PEFA All Nations Gospel Church, Gikomba from 5.00pm for prayers and burial preparations.
