Bishop Joseph K. Ngetich

Date of Birth: 18th July 1956 — Death: 5th December 2025

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our family patriarch, Joseph K. Ngetich, which occurred on 5th December 2025 after a long illness bravely borne.

Joseph was the beloved son of the late Hannigtone Nyoro and the late Rusi Nyoro and son-in-law of the late Daudi Lasoi and the late Naumi Lasoi.

He was the loving and devoted husband of Jane Ngetich and a cherished father of Vienna, Michael, Christopher, Christine, Maureen and Violet. He was a doting grandfather of Israel, Imam, Gabriella, Naomi, Neema, Baraka, Zuri and George.

Brother of Grace & the late Michael Chumo, the late Jonathan & Regina Ngetich, Elizabeth & Joseph Kibowen, the late Rose & Eng. Aphaxard Maiyo, Alfred & Jusuna Ngetich Geoffrey & the late Betty Ngetich and Joyce & Isaiah Mutai.

Brother-in-law of Ruth & the late Edward Chumo, the late Lucio & Samwel Sang, Alice & Philip Rotich., Zeddy & the late Jonestone Cherorot, Racheal & the late Prof. Jonathan Ngeno, the late Mary & late Wilson Chemarer, Elizabeth & Solomon Kelong, Esther & John Ngeno, Benjamin & Joyce Tanui, Henry & Margaret Tanui, Tecla & Charles Langat, among others.

Joseph was a loving in-law of Dr Gitau Njoroge & Dr Florence Gttau. He was a loving uncle mentor and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting every evening at his home in Salama Estate Beach Road, Mombasa and Ngoina Road, Kabartegan.

The Memorial service will be held on Friday, 12th December 2025. at Kabartegan High School grounds and the interment to follow at his home in Ngoina Road, Kabartegan, Kericho County
