Beloved son of the late Jefither Murage and the late Grace Wamutira.

Beloved husband of Pauline Wambui Muriithi. Beloved father of Caroline Wanjiku and Martin Murage.

Brother and brother-in-law to many.

Son-in-law to the late Andrew Thendu and the late Salome Njeri.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Homes on 6th November 2025 at 7:00am for a funeral mass at Kiamuruga Catholic Church Kerugoya at 11.00am. He will later be laid to rest at his home, Kiamuruga. Kerugoya, Kirinyaga. County.

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Martha Nyatoro Ndungu of Kiganjo Estate Thika on Sunday 26th October 2025 at Kenyatta Teaching and Referral Hospital. Until her demise she was a staff of County Government of Muranga Department of Agriculture Livestock Gatanga Subcounty.

She is the daughter of the late Harrisson Ndungu Kinandu and late Grace Wanjiru Ndungu.

Mother of Grace Wanliru (St Dominic Primary School Kasarani) and Irene Wairimu (Thika). Mother in love of Frederick Mwangi {County Government of Kiambu, Agriculture & Livestock Department Gatundu North}. Grandmother of Precious, Aurelia and Gianna among others.

Cherished-in-law of Stephen Muthami and Lucy Wanjiku.

Beloved Sister of Irene Kingori (Kinangop), Anne Kinyaniui (Muranga}. Elder Duncan Gichuki (Maiella Naivasha), Ruthu-Josphine Nyaguthii (Brookside / Chaka), Cyrus Maina, Esther Wangui, Anne Wangari, Peris Njoki, John Kariuki and Eunice Wakarima. Cousin and aunt to many.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Karatina Funeral Home on Tuesday 4th November 2025 at 8.00am. Funeral Service will be held starting from 11.00am at Mountain Star Academy Zaina Village, Ndathi Sublocation, Kabaru Location, Nyeri County. Thereafter Burial rites will be conducted at her farm adjacent to the school.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved brother Richard Njake Gatua, which occurred on October 14th, 2025.

Born on November 17th 1973 in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, he was the son of Njake Gatua Thinwa and Naomi Wanjiku (of Turbo, Eldoret).

He was a devoted husband of Esther Njake (Muigo) and a loving father of Faith Wanjiku, Joy Wambui, and Joel Gatua (of Dallas, USA).

He was a brother of Paul Maina, Ruth Wamboi, the late Wilson Njenga, Francis Moshoi, Mary Wanjiru, Dorcas Wangui, and Charles Waweru.

Richard was a son-in-law of Margaret Gathogo (of Githunguri, kiambu) and a brother-in-law of Mary Maina and Pastor Lawrence Maina, Francis Gathogo, James Ngariu, Mary Wanjiku, Teresiah Nyambura, and George Mururi. He was a nephew, cousin, uncle, and a friend to many.

The burial service and interment will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, Texas (USA).

Newton Wanyoike, Millicent Wanjiru, the late Lucy Njeri, the late Wamaitha (one), Faith Mothe, John Muiruri, Albert Kirera, Gilbert Muchoki (UK), Judy Faith Wanjiku, Gerald Wainaina, Terry Njembi, Mercy Waithira, Margaret Wamaitha and Esther Wanjiru. She leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

It is with deep sorrow and in humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Mary Wambui Ngugi on Sunday, 26 October 2025 at MP Shah Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late David Kamau Thiong’o; devoted mother of Maureen Gakenia Kamau and Herman Thiong’o Kamau; a doting grandmother of Kwame Musumba; and mother-in-law of Margaret Wangui Wakanyi.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Julius Ngugi and the late Beth Wanjiku Ngugi. The first-born among her siblings, she was a sister to: the late John Ndiva (brother): the late Thomas Kamau (brother); Julia Wanjiru (sister): Peter Kariuki (brother); Margaret Nyarnbura (sister); Charles Wainaina (brother); Josphat Njoroge (brother); and Patrick Nyoike (brother).

She was a sister-in-law to many, a cousin to many, an aunt to many, and a dear friend to many.

She faithfully served as a nurse at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital until her retirement.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, 31st October 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Varsity Ville—Kamakis (Eastern Bypass).

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati on Tuesday, 4th November 2025 at 7:00 .m. Funeral Service and Burial will take place thereafter at her home in Kiambuthia Village, Kiru Location , Mathioya, Murang’a County.

She was the beloved daughter of Major (Rtd.) Ndirangu Wahome and the late Josephine Kathini Ndirangu.

Loving niece of Francis Gichuhi and Njeri Gichuhi, Nelson King’ori and Nancy Gichuhi, the late Erick Mbuthia and the late Joseph Kariuki, Margaret Owino, Ruth Kussauer, Mbithi and Katheke, among others.

Cherished cousin of Ngigi, the late Wanjiku, Wanini, Wahome, lrungu, Javan, Jefferson, Powel, Wanjiku, Mark, Kioko,Annette, Jane, Mueni, Chichi, Mutanu, Mutheu and Stephie, among many others.

She was the treasured granddaughter of the late William Wahome and Doris Wanjiku, and the late Mr. and Mrs. David Mutunga Silla, as well as the great-granddaughter of Mariam Gachambi Ndirangu.

Following a brief service and viewing, the cortege will leave the Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 7:30am on Thursday 30th October for the memorial service and burial at the family’s home in Nduiga Kiandu, Nyeri.

Wanjiku was deeply loved and will be fondly remembered for her warmth, laughter, and the joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her.

Dr. Musoke was the beloved husband of Helen Musoke, loving father of Lewis Musoke and Nancy Musoke-Smith, father-in-law of Chandula Seneviratne-Musoke and Jevone Smith, and grandfather of Ayinza Musoke.

He was the son of Yafesi K Musoke (late) and Naomi Musoke (late). Brother of Rebecca Nyiira, Margaret Kalule-Sabiti (late), Noah Nsubuga, Sarah Musoke (late), Norah Nalwoga (late), and Sam Kikonyogo (late).

Son-in-law of Mr.Wycliffe Kiggundu Kato and Mrs. Reste Namayanja Kato (late) Brother-in-law of Margaret Kato (late), John Kato (late), Edith Yoti, David Kato, Vicky Kato,William Kato (late), Fred Kato and Godfrey Kato.

Dr. Musoke was loved and respected by many as a wonderful uncle, father figure, friend, colleague, mentor and renowned medical professional in Eastern Africa.

With deep sorrow, yet in humble submission to God’s perfect will, we announce the passing of Mr. David Kariuki Thuku, who went to be with the Lord on Friday, 24th October 2025, following a long and brave battle with Illness.

David joined Daystar University on 5th September 1994 and faithfully served in various capacities for 31 years. He held the positions of Associate Dean and Dean of Students Affairs for 21 years, demonstrating exceptional leadership, dedication, and compassion. In February 2015, he was re-deployed to serve as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mission and Theology, a role he held with equal commitment until his demise. David’s unwavering service and care for both students and colleagues have left an indelible mark on the Daystar community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him.

He was also a Church Elder at P C.E.A. Bahati Martyrs’ Parish, where he faithfully served God and the congregation for many years.

He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Irene Wangui Thuku and cherished son of the late Mr. Joseph Thuku and the late Mrs. Susan Wangari Thuku and a loving brother of Ndirangu, Muthoni and Late Maigua, Mwangi and Jane, Late Margaret and Kariuki, Wanjiku and Gichamba, Christine and Karnali, Njen and Ndirangu, Thogori.

Son-in-law of Mr. George Wairi Wachira and Mrs. Phoebe Wairimu Wairi. Brother-in-law of The late Mr. Maina, Mr and Mrs. Mwangi, Mr. and Mrs Mbora, Mr. and Mrs. Mukundi and Mr. and Mrs. Murage. He was a cousin, uncle and grandfather to many.

A Memorial Service will he held on Wednesday, 29th October, at PCEA Bahati Church, Nairobi starting at 3.00 p.m.

The Burial Service will take place on Friday, 31st October, at PCEA Muruguru Church, Nyeri, starting at 10:00 a m , followed by interment at his family home in Muruguru.

Prayer meetings are being held daily at the PCEA Bahati old Church from 6.00 pm.

David will be fondly remembered for his unwavering faith, humility and deep commitment to his family, students, church and community.
