Bishop Lister Otonde Okinda

It is with deep sorrow and acceptances of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Bishop Lister Joseph Otonde Okinda of Word of Life Ministries which occurred on 17th/11/2018, at Avenue Hospital Kisumu. He was the Bishop of Word of Life Ministries Intl and the Director of Tausi Choice Point Limited.

Son of the late Romanus Otonde Nyaoke and the late Benedeta Owayo Otonde of Gem Sagam and Otolla Got Kokulo, and step son of Monica Otonde. He was brother of Pastor Martin Okello, Calveti Nyabingi (NY/USA), Didacus, Christine, Monique, Gabriel, Albert, Elias, George, Carren, Joyce, Jocinta and the late Francis, Davis, Dennis and Augustine. Loving husband of Pastor Monica Awuor Okinda of Alego Usonga and father of Elizabeth Okinda, Michael Omondi, Phoebe Ouko of Shiloah Investment, Washington Okinda, Henry McRae, Marion Okinda of Maseno University and Mercy Victoria of USIU.

Son in-law of the late Dud Andiwo Waganda and Elizabeth Juma Andiwo of Alego Usonga, father in-law of Robert Ouko and Dolphin Omondi. Nephew of Onyango, Owino, Owidi and Thomas Ongaya. Brother in-law of Asha, Melle, Farida, Mary, Amos, the late Plista, the late Joyce, the late Florence, the late Emily, the late Debora and the late Julia. Uncle of Fadhili, Isaac, Lydia, Stevo, Bob, Calvin, Wayne, Nino, Makedah, Menelik, Precious, Miracle, Joshua, Melissa, Natasha, Viola, Phina, Hannington, Eddy, Felix, Gioria, Silvia, Daniel, Zeddy, Lucy, Alvin, Mercy, Kep, Jackline, Joan, Lorine and the late Paul. Grandfather of Karel, Janney, Gloria, Natasha, Esther, Naomi, Blessing, Rehoboam and Charton.

The body leaves Aga Khan Mortuary Kisumu on 13th December 2018 at 9:00am for a requiem mass at Power of Jesus Around the World Church compound.

Burial will take place on Friday 14th Dec at his home in Siaya County, along Siaya Bondo road opposite Anduro Primary School.
