Bishop Mathew Wellington Irungu (General)

It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Bishop Mathew Wellington Irungu of Gospel Revival Center Intl. and Senior Pastor – Gospel Revival Center, Kangemi which occurred on 16th May 2020.

Son of the late Alexander Ngari and the late Priscilla Wanjiru. Husband of Teresia Wangari Irungu, brother of Samuel Gitonga, Gladys Njoki, the late Geofrey Kiberenge, Martha Njeri and Peter Mwangi. Father of Priscilla Wanjiru, Moses Ngari, Eva Wambui, Ephantus Maina and Perpetua Wanjiru. Son-in-law of the late Mark Ngugi and the late Monica Wambui. Brother in law of Simon Kimani, Boniface Karuga, William Wanyoike, Margaret Wanjiku, Lucy Njeri and Benard Mwangi. Grandfather of Nathan, Blessing, Gabriel, Joy, Emmanuel, Ethan, Alicia and Brian.

The cortege leaves Umash funeral home — Mbagathi way at 12.00 noon on Friday 22nd May 2020, for burial at Langata Cemetery. This will be preceded by a live funeral service on MBCI TV from 9.30 a.m to 11.30 a.m. (there will also be live streaming on Facebook and You tube).
