Canisius Muchiri Kirugara

It is with heavy hearts and a lifetime of memories that we announce the death of Canisius Muchiri Kirugara of Gitwe village, Mwimbi Ward, Tharaka Nithi County. He went to be with the Lord peacefully on 4th June 2019.

Beloved son of the late Juvenale Marete and the late Sabina Gakube. Loving Husband of Alison Kanjiru and Abishag Mukwanjeru. Beloved father of the late Jacqueline Gachunku, David Gikundi, Mercy Muthoni, Michael Kimathi, Esther Mumbi, Catherine Kagendo and Nancy Nkatha. Father-in-law of Deborah Mutubi, Aken Tong Yel, the late Adikari and Tony. Brother of the late Kiambi, Andriana, Peter, Charles, Mputhia, Kirimi and the late Catherine. He is uncle to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at the All Saints Cathedral from 5.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. A fund raiser will be held at the same venue on Wednesday 12th June 2019, starting at 5.00pm.

The cortege will leave Chogoria Hospital Mortuary on the 15th June, 2019 at 09:00 am for a funeral service at Iruma Catholic Church and thereafter burial at his Gitwe Home.
