In humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the sudden demise of Captain Doctor Raphael Miyoyo of the 88 Artillery Battalion Isiolo. He was involved in a grisly road accident on 28th July 2019, where he passed on, on the spot.

Loving son to Mr. Francis Owuor Obonyo (Public Health Dept. Matungu, Kakamega County) and Mrs. Mary Owuor (Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital — Kisumu). Brother of Beldine N. Atieno, Erick Odawa, Felgona Awuor, and Esther Agnes Owuor. Grandson of the late Patrick Obonyo Ragot and late Phelgona Obonyo.

The late Gabriel Owino and Agnes Owino. Nephew of George, Benjamin, Isaac, late Willis, Rev. Simen, late Raphael, Hendricus, Charles, late Charles, Christopher, late Tobias, Emily, late Tabitha, late Beldine, Maurine, Josephine, Seline, Ann, Lucy, Judith Emily, Judith Lydia, Everlyn, Lillian, Ramla, late Agatha, Millicent, Sheba. Brother in-law to Dominick Okati. Uncle to Stephanie and Jeremy.

Cousin to Phanice, Joan, Hiram, Erick, Akinyi, Awuor, Lilly, Moses, Pheline, Truphline, Vivian, Raph, Queen, Odhiambo, Ochieng, Gabriel, Ursula, Tobias, Rodgers, Victor, Sunday, Betty, Cynthia, Annette among many.

The body currently lies at the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital (NRB). He will be laid to rest at his father’s home in Ugolwe village, Siaya County, on 17th August, 20 19.

Raph, we loved you but God loved you more. Rest in eternal peace Captain.
