With profound sadness we announce the passing on of Carol Kaumbutho on January 1st 2022.

Wife to late Educationist Felix Kaumbutho. Mother to Josephine Karimi Nthiga, formerly of KNEC; Dr Pascal Kaumbutho of AgriMech Africa Ltd and Children’s World Ltd; the late Lucy Kaumbutho; Dr Martin Kaumbutho of Horizon Communication and Paul Kaumbutho of Omega Opticians. Mother-in-law to Njage Nthiga, formerly of UNDP; Dr Rachel Rukaria-Kaumbutho; Scholastics Muriithi of World Bank – Washington DC and Joyce Kaumbutho of Omega Opticians. Sister to the late Eugenio Mwongera, the late Georgina Mwambia, the late Matthew Miriti and Joseph Kirangu. Auntie to the Julius Rerias and the Luciano Kanampius among Many Others.

Grandmother to Mugambi Nthiga, Diana Kagendo Nthiga – Murimi, Ian Mwenda Nthiga, Munene, Kimathi, Phil, Gloria, Melanie, Julie, Abby, and Maya Kaumbutho. Great-Grandmother to Amari Muriithi.

Cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Mbagathi Way, Nairobi on Saturday, 8th January 2022 at 6.00 AM for a Church Service at St Joseph’s Primary School Igoji, commencing at 10.00 AM. This will be followed by interment in the afternoon at the family home at Kuiri Village, Igoji, Meru County.
