Catherine Watiri Mwangi

It is with great profound sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Catherine Watiri Mwangi which occurred on 10th April 2019 at KNH while undergoing treatment. She hails from Kahuhia Murang’a county.

Daughter of the late Ethan Gatama and late Kezia Kabura Gatama. Loving wife of Paul Mwangi Kamau. Sister of the late Njeri Kimongo, Ruguru Gakahu, late John Kagu, late Wesley Chege, Wambui Kago, the late Susan Wanjiru, Muthoni Waiguru, and late Wangechi Njenga. Devoted mother of Grace Mwangi Njagi and Linus Njagi, Ethan Ng’ang’a, Peterson Kamau and Lucy Wanjiku, Benson Gakahu and Joyce Gakahu, late Anne Wanjiku, Kagu Mwangi, Rachel Mwangi and Felix Ngai, Faith Njeri and Robert Kiunjuri, Ruth Wambui and Joseph Chege, Carol Ruguru and Danson Mundia. Grandmother of Agnes Muthoni and Anthony Mburu, Watiri, Paul, Gatimu, Kevin, Carol, Maureen, Muthoni, Wawira, Serah, Joan, Vicky, Makira, Brian, Cliff, Joy and Remmy. Great grandmother of Mike. Aunt of Dr. Gatama among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Kirogo village, Wakawega bar Kariobangi roundabout, Teetee restaurant opposite TRM along Thika road from 6pm to 8pm in Nairobi.

The cortege leaves KU funeral home on Wednesday 17th April 2019 at 8am for a funeral service at ACK St. Christopher church, Gitige. Thereafter, burial at her home in the afternoon.
