Cecilia Mwongeli Kiptiness

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Cecilia Mwongeli Kiptiness of Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Daughter of the late Mzee Kilonzo and Mama Josephine of Kangundo, Machakos County. Beloved wife of Wilson Kiptiness, loving mother of the late St.anislaus Toroitich, James Kiplagat and Mercy Jelimo. Foster mother of Mbithe, Mary and Ndunge. Mother- in-law to Gloria, grandmother to Alvin, Natasha, Naila Cecilia. Sister to Sr. Anne Kilonzo, Alfonce, Stanislaus, Julius, late Ndila, Geoffrey, Celestine, Berita, and Dr. Kilonzo, all of Kangundo. Sister-in-law to Hon. Kasertich, Edwin, Eunice, Jacob, Teresia, Evans, late Bethuel, Musa, Samuel, Hon. Linah Kilimo, late Nancy, and Lindsay, all of Kartur Village, Elgeyo Marakwet.

The Cortege leaves Iten County Referral Hospital mortuary on Friday 25th September 2020 for overnight vigil at her home, Iten.

Burial will be on Saturday 26th September 2020 at Kipsetan, Kapcherop, Elgeyo Marakwet County. Due to Covid- 19 situation, the burial will be limited to family members only.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to me on that day”. 2nd Timothy, 4:7-8.
