Charity Wangari Muiga Odada

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mum, Charity Wangari Muiga Odada on 2 June 2020, after a long illness and hospitalisation. She was a Senior Nursing Officer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital in Kisumu.

Daughter of the late Rev. Samuel Muiga Kirutu and Eunice Kerigo of Aguthii Location, Nyeri; wife of the late Dr. Peter Odada Sumba; daughter-in-law of the late Sumba Osiro and Cyprine Auma of Buru  village, Koyugi location, Rachuonyo, Homa Bay County; mother of Jacob Otieno, Samuel Muiga, Cyprine Mitchell, Charles Aol, Kerigo Odada, Phoebe Ciru; mother-in-law of Mwende Nyakiaro and Ben Mitchell. Sister of Wilson, Late Wachira, Ritho, Late Wangeci, Elizabeth, Jedida, Robert and Rehab. Sister-in-law of Joseph Langa. Grandmother of Sumba, Daudi, Herana among others and aunt of many.

The cortege leaves Mater Hospital Mortuary, Nairobi on Monday 29 June for burial in her rural home in Buru Village, Rachuonyo, on 30th June 2020.
