Charles Kariuki Njai

It is with deep sorrow and the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Charles Kariuki Njai on November 9th 2018 at Nairobi Hospital.

Son of the late Benjamin Njai Mbora and the late Felicia Gathoni Njai. Beloved husband to Anne Stella Muthoni Kariuki and loving father to Marvin Njai Kariuki, Maureen Gathoni Kariuki, Mathangani Kariuki and Winnie Wakiuru Kariuki. Brother of Irene Wangui Mugo, the late John Mbora Njai, Wilson Mugo Njai, Mary Wanjiku Wanjohi and Esther Wangui Njai. Step brother to Mariamu Ali Njoroge, Zaida Agnes Kagure and Hilda Njoki Wachira. Son in law to the late William Wambugu Mathangani and the late Winfred Wakiuru Mathangani. Brother in law to the William Mathangani family including Ngima, the late Wachira, Njeri, Waigumo, Wambura, the late Wamahiu, Maina and Murugi; Mugo, Njoki, Mbaire,Wanjohi, Muchomba, the late Kisiara and Nduhiu. He was a cousin and doting uncle; a great colleague, friend and mentor to many.

Family and friends are meeting at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th November 2018 at 5.00pm. Daily meetings will be held at his home in Gatitu, Nyeri from 4pm.

A memorial service will be held at the St. Andrews Church in Nairobi on Thursday 15th November 2018 at 2pm.

Prayers and final burial rites will take place at his home in Gatitu, Nyeri County on Friday 16 November 2018 from 11am.
