Charles Njoroge Gichorio

We regret to announce the passing on of Charles Njoroge Gichorio, Principal Gathers Secondary School, (Othaya) that occurred on 7th September, 2018. He had previously worked at Kiriti Sec School (Nyeri) for a long time.

Husband of Eunice Wamucii Njoroge. Father of Joy Wanjiru (Eldoret) and Jackson Gichorio (Kanjuri High School). Brother of Joram Kimiru and Rosemary Wairimu. Brother-in-law of Bishop Dr. Paul Wanjohi (New Life Church Nyeri), Mesheck Nyingi, Esther Ndiritu (Ndewa Auto-spares) Rebecca Mbauni (Giakanja), Anne Wangechi, Esther Ciira, Leah Wanjohi, Alice Kimiru and Muthaara among others. Uncle of Judy Wangui, Jackline Wanjiru, Julius Mathenge, Jackson Kariuki, Shelmith Wanjiru and Margaret Nyawira. Nephew of Simon Gakuru (Nyahururu) Mary Kamotho, Wangare Kiongo, Wangui King’ori, Mary Kamotho, Peris Mumbi, Eunice Njoki, Rev. Hiram Kimiru (Kiriti Sec. School), Duncan Ngure and Felix Karoki.

Friends and family members are meeting at IBIS Hotel (Nyeri) and his Githakwa rural home respectively daily from 5.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan) on Saturday, 15/9/2018 at 9.00am. Requiem mass will be held at Githakwa Primary school ground and burial will take place in his Githakwa village farm the same day.
