Beloved husband of Beatrice Wangui Wairagi (formely of Auditor General). Father of Ciiku Wairagi, Michael Tumbo, Simon Macharia and Loise Nyagichuhi. Son of the late John Michael Tumbo and the late Loise Nyagichuhi Tumbo of Ngecha- Mbari ya Igi. Father in law of Charles Kinyua Kariuki and Hilda Wanjira Kinyanjui. Brother of Geoffrey Mutura, Joseph Mbugua, David Ndirangu, the late Samuel Njenga, the late Arthur Mbugua, the late Benard Mbugua,Stanley Mbugua, Geoffrey Kimani, Mirriam Wanjiku (Sweden), Sarah Karura (USA) and others. Brother-in-law of Rebecca Wambui (UK), Hannah Wangari Njoroge, David Kimani and others. Doting Grandfather of Clarence Wairagi Kinyua and Shannyn Wangui Tumbo.

Family and friends are meeting at his home, Kahiti, Ngecha (Next to Ngecha Primary School).

The cortege leaves Lee funeral home on Thursday 31st October 2019 at 7:30am.The funeral service will be held at P.C.E.A Mother Church (Ngecha) on Thursday 31st October 2019 from 10am and burial at his farm in Ngecha (Kwa Mbari ya Igi).
