It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely demise of former Councillor Joseph Toroitich Cherono.

Loving husband to late Rosbella Cherono and Ruth Cherono. Son of the late Mzee Cherono Chemugo and the late Maria Shakwei. Loving brother of the late Daniel Kiptulwo Cheririt, late Tororei Chemugo, late Agnes Toiyoi Kamar and Tamining Letwatt. Cousin of Kaptarik, kapmaina, kachelimo, kapkigono, kapselele, kapbarchok, kapchepkoshom, kapmoror, Kapkigen, Kapchemil, Kapchepyego, Kapkimong and Kapterigin among others. Son-in-law of Kakisoryo of Chepkoiyo – Kabiyet in Nandi County and Kapchepkole of Soy in Uasin Gishu County. Brother-in-law of the late Kamar of Chepkorio, Letwatt of Ainabkoi, late Salina Chemugo of Rongai Nakuru County and Kapkeitamoo of Kaptarakwo.

Father-In-law of Albina, Betty, Sylvia, Susan, Jeremy, Irene, Sidone, Shawn, Alex, Jayson,Yart and Edward.

Grandfather of Toni, Jeane, Kimberly, Memo, Chepkoech,Adrian ,Imani, Karlin Joy , Kigen, Colilins, Rono, Bella, Alex, Samantha, Sharleen, Ktgen, Sandra, Audrey, Sonia,Adams, Rheno, Sharon, Ely, Christian, Martin, Kalya, Olee, June, Tash ,Chloe, Chebet, Kyla, Kosi, Ethan, Lactano, Kipkoech and Rita He was a mentor, leader, a friend and uncle to many.

The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital Motuary on 23rd December 2019 at noon. Church service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church in llula the same day.There will be a vigil at his Ilula home on the same day.

The cortege will leave for his Kaptagat home in Ainabkoi Sub County, Uasin Gishu County for burial on 24th December 2019.

Prayers are held daily at his Ilula and Kaptagat homes from 4pm.
