Colonel Paul Mong’are Mwasi

It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of Colonel Paul Mong’are Mwasi of Kenya Defence Forces, which occurred on 27th August 2019 at the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi.

Loving son of the late William Mwasi Opande and Mary Moraa Mwasi of Surungai Farm, Kitale. Husband of Eunice Mong’are Mwasi (Mai Secondary School Nakuru). Loving father of Julian Mwasi (UoN), Austin Mwasi (Pioneer University), Leah Mwasi (Crater Academy), Terry Mwasi (Blessed Vine Academy, Nakuru). Brother of Livingstone (OSMO), Pamellah Kerubo and Isaya Mwasi of Bwake Boys School. In-law of George, Grace, Doris, Beatrice and Joyline. Cousin of Jacky (USA), Grace, Janet, Ontomwa, Priscah, Ben, Manko and Josey. Nephew of Oinache, Auka, Bokoo, the late Mose, Mong’are, Alice, Monicah and Nyaboke. Grandson of the late Joseph Abere and Sabina Kerebi and uncle of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Nakuru home (Barnabas) and his rural home in Chepkoiyo Farm in Kitale for funeral arrangements.

There will be a Requiem Mass on Thursday 5th September 2019 at Lanet Barracks (3KR) at 12 noon.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home (Nakuru) on Friday 6th September 2019 for overnight vigil at his Kitale farm (Chepkoiyo). Burial will take place on Saturday 7th September 2019 at Chepkoiyo home.
