Cosmas Kipngetich Rogony

 11th November 1988 – 10th March 2019

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Mr. Cosmas Kipngetich Rogony following the fateful Ethiopian Airline Flight 302 crash that occurred on March 10th, 2019 in Ethiopia. Until his demise, Mr. Rogony was a valued Engineer at General Electric’s Healthcare division.

He was the son of the Late Mr. Kiprogony Arap Keter and Mrs. Selina Keter of Saoset Farm Kipkelion West, Kericho County. He was also the step son of the late Tapkurgoi, late Chesong’ony, Tabutany and late Taplule. He was the loving husband of Mrs Miriam Wanja Rogony and adoring father to Mitchell Cherotich Rogony. He was brother to the late Picoty Bett, Pascal Magerer, Dominic, Cheptoo, Chemutai and Chelangat. He was also a step-brother to many. He was son-in-Law to Mr. Jesse Muriithi Njagi and Mrs. Eunice Wangui Muriithi of Runyenjes Sub-County, Embu County. He was brother-in-law to Mr. Benson Njagi and Ms. Grace Muthoni, and Mr. Nathan Kimutai Bett among others. He has left behind nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Two memorial services will be held to celebrate Mr Rogony’s life on Wednesday 27th March 2019 at CITAM Thika Road from 2pm and on Friday 29th March from 11 am at CITAM Nakuru respectively. The Grand Celebration Service will be held on Saturday 30th March 2019 at the family Home in Saoset from 10 am.

Friends and family will meet on Tuesday 26th March at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi, Trinity Centre for a fund raiser to support his family and memorial services costs. Contributions can be made through Mpesa Paybill No: 691626, Account: Your Name.
