It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the Promotion to Glory of mzee Cosmas Okoth Rariewa, formerly of Central Bank of Kenya.

Husband to Anne Akinyi Rariewa. Father of Beatrice Rariewa-Wanjohi, Vincent Rariewa, Frederick Rariewa, Judith Rariewa, Maureen Rariewa-Karanja and Edgar Rariewa. Father-in-law of Robert Wanjohi, Donna Sherard, Cletus karanja and Laura Makokha-Rariewa. Grandfather of Sharlene, Jamie, Maya, Jesse, Ella, Farrell, Ryan, Ethan, Elsie, Elani, Emani, Kwanza and Nina. Great-grandfather Kyle.

Son of the late Mzee Joannes Othieno Buoga and the late Mama Bernedetta Mukodo Omwanda. Son-in-law of the late Mzee Joseph Okono and Mama Christina Adipo Okono. Brother of the late Martin Opiyo, the late Elias Onjoma, the late Anne Awuor, the late Joseph Mbinga and Jennifer Oginga.  Brother-in-law of Rose Mbinga, the late Karen Apiyo, Susan Akello, George Onyango, the late Eunice Achieng, Ochieng Okono, Omondi Okono, Rose Okono among others. Cousin of the late Michael Ogutu, Jack Ochanda, John Ogutu amongst others. Uncle of many.

There will be a fundraiser to help offset the funeral expenses on Thursday 29th November, 2018 at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi as from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

There will also be a church service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church South B, Nairobi on 6th December, 2018 at 2.00pm.

His body will be laid to rest on 8th December, 2018 at his rural home, Ulumba, Ugunja Town, Siaya County.

In the meantime, friends and family are meeting daily at his Nairobi home, South C, Akiba Estate, Kagondo Road.

“Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him always.”
