Cpl Nicholas Kiplagat Bett

It is with Deep sorrow and shock that the National Police Service and the family of the late Cpl Nicholas Kiplagat Bert announce his demise which occurred through a tragic road accident on 8/8/2018 along Lessos Kapsabet road. Until his demise he was a Police officer attached to Kondele Police Station, Kisumu County and also a world class champion which among his many accomplishments was winning for the country the first ever Gold medal in 400m hurdles at the 2015 IAAF Championships held in Beijing, China.

Son of Joseph Boit and Esther Boit. A dear husband of Gladys Bett and father of Nichole Chepkoech, Nerius Chepchirchir and late Noel Kipkemboi. Brother of the late Jackline Chepkemboi, Aron Koech (Kenya Police/Athlete), Nancy Chepleting, Joan Cheptepkeny, Chirchir Semwo (OCS, Mariakani SGR), Faith Jeptanui (USA), Lt. Jared Chirchir (Kenya Air Force), Tabitha Cherono (USA), Chelimo Semwo, Victor Chirchir (Kenya Air Force), Joyline Chesang, Methusela Kiptoo and Purity Cheptoo. In-law of Frida Koech, Bethsheba Chirchir, Celestine Chirchir, Cynthia Chirchir and Rose. His uncles are: Paul Kemboi, Simeon Biwot, Stephen Kogo, Simeon Misoi, Solomon Misoi, Julius Misoi and Joel Biwott. His aunties are: Rosaline, Dinah Singoei, Rose Chepkemboi, Egla Kemboi, Hellen Biwot, Sally Kogo and Hellen Chepkemei.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at 5:00 pm for funeral arrangements at his home in Simat Location, Uasin Gishu County, Eldoret Sports Club in Eldoret and at the Kenya Police Pavilion, Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday, 15 August 2018 for an overnight stay at his home in Simat location, Uasin Gishu County.

Funeral Service and Burial will be held on Thursday, 16/8/2018 at the same venue.
