Daniel Kiilu Makau

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Daniel Kiilu Makau announces his promotion to glory. He rested on Wednesday, 24th December, after a sudden cardiac distress.

Daniel Kiilu was the loving husband of Rose Kamene Kiilu, the father of Kevin Makau and Martin Wambua, and a proud grandfather of Reuel, Jane, Micah and Lemuel. Father-in-law of Linda Mutuku and Pauline Mwende.

He was the son of the late Peter Makau Kaswii and the late Beatrice Kamene Makau, and son-in-law of Josiah Mull Wambua and Naomi Mutheu Wambua.

He was the brother of Seth Mutua, Simon Mutuku, Timothy Munyao, Mary- lkandi, Esther Mueni, the late Martha, Ruth Muema, Joyce Makau, the late Isaac Kaswii, Solomon Mutheke, Samuel Muthusi, Jacob Musyoka, and Catherine Mbithe.

Brother-in-law of the late David Mutua, the late Jane Mutuku, Phylis Munyao, the late Major lkandi, Joseph Mwanzau, the late Philip Muema, Philip Musembi, Mary Wambua, Janet Weru, Michael Nthenge, and Happy Koki.

He was an Uncle of Jennifer, Margaret, Joseph, Nancy, Sarah, Antony, Millicent, Evalyne, Eric, Edwin, the late Esther, Evelyn, the late Maingi, Benjamin, Julius, Eunice, Jeff, Evelyn, John, Sammy, Grace, David, Daniel, Catherine, Annabell, Faith, Diana, George, Eunice, Ken, Victor, Ruth, Brian, Richard, Dorris, Phylis, Joseph, Benjamin, Nancy, Julius, Mercy, Mark and Ruth Mary.

Friends and family are meeting for prayer and burial preparations at the Makau family residence in Masavoni Village, Mutituni Ward, Machakos.

The cortege will leave Montezuma & Monalisa Funeral’ Home, Machakos at 9.00 a.m. on Friday, 9th Kanuary 2026, and he will be laid to rest on the same day at the Makau family residence in Masavoni Village, Mutituni Ward, Machakos County.
