It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved Daniel Ontita Omwenga of Eronge Village, Ekerubo, Borabu Sub-county on April 6th 2018.

Husband of Rebeca Nyaboe. Son of the late Sibiah Anunda and the late Nelson Ontita (Omogwa, Kitutu Masaba). Son-in-law of the late Obare Osiemo (Bogwendo). Loving father of Doris Moraa, Erick Omwenga (Tarkwel Primary, Turkana), Vincent Osiemo, Hyline Kerubo, Josephat Nyang’ate and Tabitha Monyangi. Loving brother of Agnes Maoncha, Elijah Ontita, the late Monyangi, Periah, Hassan (Nyamachemange Primary), Yabesh (Manga DEB), Nyamoita (Nyamira Tea SACCO), Omwenga and Dr Edward Ontita (Sociology, University of Nairobi). Brother-in-law of Maoncha, Manoti, Mose, the late Mokaya Obare, Angwenyi Obare (Bogwendo), Naomi Momanyi (Police Hqs.), Truphena, Jane, Josephine (Magombo Primary), the late Kwamboka and Dr Catherine Ontita (East Kenya Union of SDA Church). Semo of Ong’era (Nyamemiso) and OCS Joshua Nyasimi (Gatundu). Uncle of Gladys Mosoti (Ministry of Livestock, Nairobi), Kefa Bwana (Eronge SDA Boarding School). the late Douglas. Harriet (Barclays), Omwengas, Nyang’ates, Nyang’aras, Moraas, Monyangis, Kerubos, Momanyi, Mokaya, Mokiamis, among others.

Nephew of Mokiami, Clement Nyandiko, Mokaya, Makori, Nyaosa, Alfayo Nyambega, Micah Maranga, Onsare, Nyangate (all late) and Sagero. Cousin of Omayio, Joshua, Ongori (all late), Ben, John, Momanyis, Hellen, Mary, Okioi, Grace, Meshack, Truphena Omanwa, late James Omaita, late Mose Nyambega, Moracha, Magie, Bwogos, Omwengas, Rona and others. Father-in-law of Benuel Nyambane, Brenda Kerubo, Elvin Nyamoita,Aska Nyanchama and Dominic Maroko (KRA). Korera of Nyambane (Gated), Amos Nyabuto (Sameta), J. Oyaro (Sengera), B. Ombui (Enchoro) and Andrew Obwoge (Nyacheki).

Friends and relatives are meeting today Wednesday April 12, 2018 for final prayers and funeral arrangements at his Eronge home (10 am) and Old Sanctuary, Nairobi Central SDA Church (Maxwell) on Milimani (Jakaya Kikwete) Road Opposite Integrity Centre, Nairobi from 5.30 PM.

The cortege leaves Hema Mortuary on Thursday 12/04/2018 at 10.30AM for a Service at Eronge SDA Church at 12 Noon.

He will be laid to rest on Friday April 13, 2018 at Eronge village, Ekerubo Location, Borabu Sub-county, Nyamira County.
