Daniel Odera Masa

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that Maseno University announces the sudden passing on of Mr. Daniel Odera Masa on 5th July, 2022 at Maseno University Hospital. Until his demise, Mr. Masa served at the Academic Division.

Beloved husband to Dolphine Awuor Masa of Arts and Design Department, Maseno University. Father to Evans Mordix, Sydney Stacy (Maseno University), Joy Audrey (Kisumu Girls High School), Susan Tamara (Maseno Mixed Primary School), and Cassidy Anyango. He was also a foster father to Christine, Lydia, Reagan and Talia.

Son to the late James Masa and Mama Truphena Masa of Gem Nango. Brother to Martha Odhiambo, Jeremiah Masa, and Rebecca Odongo.

Son-in-law to the late Francis Oloo and Philister Oloo of Gem Muhanda. Brother-in-law to the late Barrack, Odongo, Johhanes,William, Paul, Roselida Nyaoro, Jennifer, Sarah and the late Hellen.

There will be a fundraising event towards funeral expenses on Sunday, 17th July 2022 at A.C.K All Saints Church – Maseno, from 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves Masaba Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 22nd July, 2022 at 10.00am for a requiem mass at A.C.K All Saints Church – Maseno.

The burial will take place on Saturday, 23rd July, 2022 at his home in Gem Nango Village, Wagai Division in Siaya County.
