David Githae Gakuo (Dapan)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our beloved David Githae Gakuo (Dapan) of Dapan Trading Company after a short illness.

Son of the late Benson Gakuo and Keziah Nyambura. Husband of Pauline Wangui Githae. Son in law of Late Ibrahim Gichimu and the late Shellomis Wangechi. Father of Ben Newton Gakuo, Ibrahim Kiama and Captain Alex Irungu. Brother of lrungu, Mwangi, Thiong’o, the late Njoroge, Kuria(Kajawa), Maina, Wambui, Waiyego and Wangenye. Brother in law of Njeri, Munyi, Wandia, Wachira, Muringo, achuka and Muthoni. Father in law of Esther Nyakienda. Grandfather of Annabella Wangui and Maximus Githae.

Family and friends are meeting daily his home in Ngoingwa, Thika and at Coconut Grill, Thika from 6:00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 22th February 2019 at 8:30am for a funeral service and burial at his home in Kigio, Gatanga, Murang’a County on the same day.
