David Mwaura Gitu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our dear Brother in Christ, Retired Lay Reader David Mwaura Gitu.

Son of the late Harun Gitu King’ang’i and the late Lydia Wanjiku Gitu. Husband of the late Mary Wangui Mwaura. Brother of the late Nduta Mura, Wanjiru Ndeithi, the late Virginia Muthoni Ngundi and the late James Kimari Gitu. Step-brother to the late Francis Wainaina, the late Isaac Kimari, the late Wambui Kineeru, Waithera Maina (Ngamira), the late Samuel Mbugua, the late George Gathungu and Loise Muthoni Njomo.

Father of Wanjiku Njoroge, Margaret Wambui, Waithira Malombe, Moses Kamau, the late Lucy Nyambura, the late Danson Mwangi, Faith Kinyeru and Grace Orguba. Father-in-law of Edward Njoroge, John Malombe, Purity Mumbi, Miriam Njeri, Peterson Kinyeru and Zack Orguba. Grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Riruta Satellite for prayers and preparations for his send-off.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Mbagathi Way, on Friday 05/03/2021, at 9:00am.The funeral service will be held at ACK Emmanuel Church Riruta, starting at 11:00am and thereafter the burial ceremony will take place at Lang’ata Cemetery, same day.
