It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Dedan Mwonge Mwatu which occurred on Wednesday 11th October 2017.

Son of John Mwatu Mbiti and the late Elizabeth Ng’ondu Mwatu. Husband of Elizabeth Wanjira Mwonge. Father of Mary Ndolo, the late Ruth Ndunge, Moses Mwatu, Esther Ndung’u, Cecilia Mwongeli, Rachael Nduku and Jacinta Muthoni. Father-in-law of Caroline Kalondu Moses. Grandfather of Maureen Mutheu, Virginia Nzilani, Gabriel Mumo, Collins Ndung’u, Shallom Mueni, Joseph Mutuva and Angel Mwongeli. Brother of Jane King’oo Kitabu (USA), Danson Mwatu, Harrison Mwatu, Joyce Ngao, David Mwatu and Benson Mwatu. Father-in-law of Pascal Ndolo Nyamu, John Ndung’u and Vincent Muambi.

In-law of Anthony Nyamu, Charles Muema, and George Ndungu. Brother-in-law of Geoffrey King’oo Kitabu, Simon Ngao Mbithi, John Mbogo (Embu), Richard Kiura, David Nguu and Esther Muthoni. Cousin of Alice Simon, Philiph Mutunga, Beres Simon among others. Uncle of Abraham Kyele King’oo (USA), Abel Mwatu King’oo (USA), Ruth King’oo Best (USA), Jonathan Mutua, John Ndoto, Joan Mutio,Kennedy Muasya, Victor Mwendwa, Joshua Musili and Mumo. Nephew of Lois, the late Mutunga Mbiti, Joseph Mbiti, David Mbiti, the late Daniel Mbiti, Pastor Sammy Mbiti, Muasya Ndolo,Ruth Rose Mulu,Tabitha Kivindyo, Grace Mulungu and Loise Mutula Kioko.

Friends and Relatives are meeting daily at huis home Mathatani,Katanga Hotel (Chumvi) ,Old riot Hotel Machakos, Ashkir Restaurant(former Delesia) Jeevaniee Garden and at John Mbiti’s home. The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Machakos on Friday 20th October 2017 at 8.00am for a funeral service and burial at his home Mathatani village, Lukenya sublocation, Machakos county.
