Dominic Nyumba Nyawir

It is with deep sorrow and godly acceptance that we announce the passing of Mr. Dominic Nyumba Nyawir, which occurred on 28th December, 2023.

A loving husband to Rose Auma Nyumba. Beloved father to Catherine Adhiambo Nyumba, the late Edith Akinyi Nyumba, the late Thomas Omondi Nyumba, the late Seraphine Awino Nyumba and Stephen Ogola Nyumba. Father-in-law to Mary Ogola. Grandfather to Ivana, Nathan and Barack.

Son to the late Mzee Paulus Nyawir, also known as Meja and the late Mama Catherin Ombewa Nyawir. Son-in-law to the late Francis Odanga Amayi and Mama Seraphin Owiti Odanga. Brother to Sylvester Onyango and the late Anastasia Awuor.

Family and friends in Kisumu meet daily at the family home in Manyatta, and in Nairobi at All Saints Cathedral on 9th January, and 10th January, 2024 for fundraising at 5.30pm.

The cortege will leave the Star Hospital Mortuary in Kisumu on 12th January, 2024 at 1.00pm for St. James The Apostle Catholic Church – Magadi.

The burial service will be held on Saturday 13th January, 2024 from 10.00am at Mzee Dominic’s home in Manyatta.
