With humble acceptance of God’s will, Karatina University wishes to announce the passing on of Dr. Albert Makanga Mwangi on Sunday 21st June 2020 at The Karen Hospital, Nairobi. He was a Senior Lecturer in the School of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies, Department of Natural Sciences.
Son of the Late Danson Mwangi Makanga and the late Juliah Njeri Mwangi. Loving husband of Margaret Njeri Makanga. Doting father of Danson Mwangi, Joy Makanga (Kansas City, USA) and James Waithaka. Father-in-law of Andrew Gichimu (Kansas City, USA). Brother of Margaret Wania, Fredrick & Alice Maina (Githingithia), Mary Wanjiru (Nakuru), Anne Wairimu, Stanley & Loise Kimani (Nakuru), Richard & Florence Ndiritu (Mombasa), David & Betty Kiongo (Nairobi), Samuel Muna, Stephen & Jane Wachira (Nairobi). Son-in-law of the late Mwangi Gachanja and Beth Wanjiru. Brother-in-law of Ng’ang’a, Ndirangu, Gathogo, Susan, Lucy, Njiiri and Muhoi. Cousin and Uncle of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence at Kahawa Sukari Estate, Kiu River Road, 6th Avenue and at Island Farms, Plot 223, as from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday, 27th June 2020 at 7:00am for a funeral service and burial at his home at Plot No.223, Island Farms, Kabaru Location, Kieni East Sub County, Nyeri County at 11:00am.
Dr.Albert, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. -2 Timothy 4:7
