Dr. Archelaus Achola Okudo
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing on of Dr. Archelaus Achola Okudo, of Corner Medical Clinic and Metropolitan Hospital – Buru Buru, which occurred on 1st January, 2024.
Beloved husband to Jane Achola of KMTC – Nairobi. Loving father to Edward & Brenda Achola (Base Titanium), George & Juliet Achola (Office of the Auditor General) and Dr Paul Achola (Mater Hospital). Grandfather to Taji and Adam.
A cherished Son to the late Joab Okudo and Mama Meresia Okudo and the late Rosemel Okudo of Seme Kadero. Son-in-law to the late Paul Opondo Ragama; the late Regina, the late Prisca and the late Mary of Uholo.
In-law to Mr Paul & Mrs Mercelina Mwanyumba and the late Mr Bernard Kibet & Mrs Mary Kibet
Brother to the late Lorna Achieng, Sherry & the late Origa, the late George Jaramba and Anne, the late Lawrence Omondi and Sally, Millicent Aura, Dorothy & Morris Oduor, Francis & Phoebe Ojal, Caroline Ayoo, Elizabeth Atieno. Christine Ogaya, the late Winnie Awandu and Geoffrey Were.
Fundraising to offset funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday 9th January, 2024 at All Saints Cathedral from 5.00pm.
A requiem service will be held on Thursday 11th January, 2024 at All Saints Cathedral from 2.00pm.
Daktari will be laid to rest on Saturday 13th January, 2024 at his home in Seme Kadero, Kisumu County.

He was my children and nephews pediatrician since 2000.
He could treat them even without money then pay later.
He once helped us with admitting at Gertrude’s children hospital without paying a dime.
May he rest in The Lord,he was such a good man.
It is with profound shock That I have learnt of Dr. Achola’s demise. My condolences to his dear family, friends and the entire Seme fraternity. Daktari was a very friendly and soft spoken personality. It is indeed painful to lose him suddenly at this time. May God grant the family and everyone who interacted with him the strength to bear this loss. Rest in peace Wuod Japuonj!

I never got to know of Dr. Achola’s demise.
It came as a shock when I learnt this from a text from his former clinic.
Rest in peace daktari. You were a wonderful person and a great doctor to my kids.
