I studied with Catherine from 1st year to final year at the University of Pretoria. I was amazed at her strength, dedication and courage a true soldier. She fought many obstacles.. coming to an institution were at the time Afrikaans was also medium of instruction and she could not understand the pronunciation of words in Afrikaams but that did not deter her. My basic computer skills I learnt from her. We worked the undergraduate journey so closely. We kept in touch.
I was really shocked to hear of her passing even thought maybe it’s fake news. I had to fo on Google and say I guess it’s true.
This is really sad. May the family be comforted with the Comfort that God provides in ways only He can comfort. David and Lucas your mother was an amazing driven woman I pray you never forget how much she loved you. Dr Linus you married and amazing woman one of a kind

What a lovely tribute to a classmate. These memories we create remain with us for ever through our friends, relatives and people we barely know. Continue to rest well Doc.

It’s with immense shock and sorrow that I have just learnt of Catherine’s death. I was privileged to take care of her during both her pregnancies and to deliver both her children. Linus and her were not only a model couple but wonderful parents.
To Linus and the children: May God give you strength and grace to navigate this difficult time. May God unreservedly shower you and the children with His blessings and protect you. Amen

My roommate at UP in first year. You will be sorely missed. I last saw you at your wedding; so happy and full of joy. May God hold Linus, David and Lucas in his warm embrace and comfort them through this painful time.
