Dr. Chariton Elijah Obiero Owino

We regret to announce the passing on of Dr. Charlton Elijah Obiero Owino on 28th August 2020, after a long illness bravely borne. He was a former lecturer at Maseno University.

Husband of the late Tabitha Lynette Obiero and Eunice Obiero. Father of Christine Obiero, Carolyn Obiero (Canada), the late George Otieno, the late Jemini Obiero, Beatriece Owino Obiero, Isaac Obiero, Lyn & George Obiero. Grandfather of George Otieno Agengo, April Nyambura Kahia, Leroy Amari, Sharon and Bruno Obiero. Brother of the late Gideon Agengo, Mary Owino (Ministry of Labor and Social Protection), the late Jacob Odhiambo, the late Karen Abok, Joshua Owino, Philip Owiyo, Cleopas Alai, Grace Andiki, Phoebe Ojika and Rebecca Kibet Uncle of the Malala’s, Oguya’s, Abok’s, Okeno’s, Alai’s, Andiki’s, Kibet’s, Ojika’s and Odanga’s.

The cortege leaves St Monica Hospital on Friday 11th September 2020. Burial will be held on Saturday, 12th September 2020 at his home in Mambo Leo, Kisumu County.
