My condolences to the Family of the best doctor Kihara. He treated my wife after being referred to India from Nairobi Hospital. The good doctor was not money centered. I am deeply saddened by his demise. RIP doctor.

Came to learn just the other day of your passing on and I’m deeply saddened but I will always remember you when I see my daughter who you rescued when I had lost faith in her healing. A noble person who was not money centred. Go well Doc. Your service to mankind will outlive you. May God’s favor be upon your descendants.

    Dr Kihara..Wah!
I passed by today to see a doc nxt door, had a mind to look around and just say hello to my kid’s doc..I do that wherever am around knh.
People talk about hero politicians…they’re their hero’s.
For me,Dr Kihara is up there with Tolstoy and the like.
    He chose to serve.
I had the privilege of knowing him,and he attended to my two boys till they passed age 14…ten years or so.
As commented above,if there’re angels up there,Dr Kihara goes straight in.
His most remembered actions were when he would refuse to prescribe aspirin to my “very ill child”….electing instead to give him a beautiful pencil.
    That ended up working!
Sometime in 2017,I was taking my dearest wife to India for cancer treatment [whatever that is,and wherever that is]…and a day prior,I decided to cross the road frm that other hosp.and just get an opinion frm a person I trusted.
In a word, he told me where a problem lies: “they don’t get to tell you about P_R_O_G_N_O_S_I_S.”
    He was right.
You live among us still,Doctor KIHARA.Forever.
