Dr. John Pius (JP) Okulo

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Dr. J.R Okulo, which occurred on 17th February, 2021, in Kisumu, after a long illness, bravely borne.

Son of the late Sylvester Amoke and the late Isabella Odede and the late Cecilia Omuya. Husband of Margaret Okulo of JOOTRH (Russia), Kisumu. Son-in-law of the late Paul Awiti and the late Sulmena Owuor. Father of Lilian, Grace, Steve, Christopher and Irene. Father-in-law to Zipporah Ochieng. Grandfather of Graca, Genevieve, Madge and Avery. Brother of the late Vitalis Owuor, Serphine Olewe, the late Gaudencia Okeyo, the late Philip Onyango, Luke Oluoch, Joseph Oduka, Bertha Ogweno, Mary Anyango, David Orende, Veronica Awino and the late Pamela Ayoo.

Brother-in-law of the late Prof. Makawiti, Betty Makawiti, the late Mary Awiti, the late Julius Awiti, the late Phillip Odhiambo, Francis Awiti, Christiane Oluoch, Florence Habwe, Mary Amoke, Pamela Oduka and Monica Oduka. Uncle of Benjamin, Paul, Charles, Mary, Pascal, Frederick, Vincent, George, Juliet and many others.

Family members, relatives and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Russia Quarters Kisumu and at his home in Ojola, Maseno Division, Kisumu.

The Cortege will leave JOOTRH Mortuary, on 12/03/2021, at noon for the funeral service at Kibuye Catholic Church.

Burial ceremony on 13/03/2021, at his home in Ojola.
