Dr. Joseph Kamaru Macharia (HSC)

We the family of the late Dr. Joseph Kamaru Macharia (HSC) would like to express our sincere gratitude to those who took time to mourn condole and pray with us following the demise of our beloved father.

Your encouragement, messages of condolence and tributes to our father, prayers arid reassurance gave us great strength and comfort. Your generosity and commitment was invaluable in enabling us to give mzee a decent and dignified send-off.

Macharia, The County commissioner Murang’a, the deputy County Commissioner, the local chief and his assistants, the OCS, and the Kerra Engineer Murang’a Mr. Wanjohi for the great support they extended to our family during the burial of our father. We also wish to extend our gratitude to the presiding Bishop Mr. Harrison Ng’ang’a of CCF Church, Father Dominic Wamugunda and other members of the clergy for their presence and for the invaluable spiritual counsel and support.

We would also like to thank most dearly Dr. Kushal Singh, Dr. Charles Kamotho and Professor Kioy and all other doctors who did their best when mzee was hospitalized at MP Shah Hospital. We also thank the nurses at MP Shah for their excellent care and service. Also worth thanking is the staff of Kenyatta University Funeral Home for the good service that they extended. We also would like to thank the management of Muthithi secondary School and Muthithi Primary School for so kindly allowing us to use their playing grounds during the burial service. Finally, we wish to thank Mr. Mbugua the male nurse together with M/S Alice and Mr Mbithi his physiotherapist for the selfless care they gave mzee at home, all the members of the Funeral committee and particularly Mama Lucy Wa Thayu, Mr. Martin Gathecha who guided us so ably during the meetings and Captain Kung’u Muigai who served as the Master of ceremony, the Kikuyu council of elders not to mention our in laws and the many friends, relatives and musicians who made an indelible contribution by being with us during the entire period.

May the Lord bless you all, for the love you had for our Dad.
